While setting up your iPhone&reg; over Wi-Fi&reg;, your eSIM might download automatically or you might be prompted to install an AT&amp;T cellular plan. If you have wireless service bars or you can make a call, you&#39;re all set.

Still don&rsquo;t have service? Try this:

<ol>
	<li>Connect to Wi-Fi.</li>
	<li>Swipe down from the top of your screen to open your notifications.</li>
	<li>Choose the AT&amp;T Cellular Plan Ready to be Installed notification</li>
	<li>Select Continue.</li>
</ol>

Don&#39;t see a notification? You might have to <a href="/prepaid-activate/">activate your iPhone</a> first.

If you have an eSIM activation kit with a QR code:

<ol>
	<li>Turn on your device and connect to Wi-Fi.</li>
	<li>Open the Camera app and scan the QR code.</li>
	<li>Tap the Cellular Plan Detected notification when it appears.</li>
	<li>Select Continue.</li>
	<li>Tap Add Cellular Plan and follow the prompts on your device.</li>
</ol>

If your iPad uses eSIM, you may be asked to install a cellular plan when you set it up. If you aren&#39;t asked, you can install one now:

<ol>
	<li>Open Settings</li>
	<li>Select the AT&amp;T Cellular Plan Ready to be Installed notification.</li>
	<li>Follow the prompts on your device to add a plan.</li>
</ol>

If you can&#39;t download your eSIM with these steps, <a href="/prepaid/activate">activate your iPad first</a>.

Just turn on your phone and follow the setup prompts. If you have wireless service bars or you can make a call, you&#39;re all set.

Don&#39;t have service? Look for a notification to add your eSIM or go to your phone Settings. Tap Connections, then SIM manager, and Add eSIM. Having trouble? If you have an eSIM activation kit with a QR code:

<ol>
	<li>Turn on your device and connect to Wi-Fi.</li>
	<li>Go to Settings and tap Connections.</li>
	<li>Select SIM card manager.</li>
	<li>Tap Add mobile plan, then Add using QR code.</li>
	<li>Scan the QR code and follow the prompts on your device.</li>
</ol>

Follow these steps on your phone to download your eSIM:

<ol>
	<li>Connect to Wi-Fi.</li>
	<li>Open Settings.</li>
	<li>Choose Network &amp; Internet.</li>
	<li>Select the plus sign (+) next to SIMs.</li>
	<li>Select Set up an eSIM or Transfer a SIM from another device.</li>
	<li>Follow the prompts. You may need a QR code. If your phone still doesn&#39;t have wireless service, you may still need to <a href="/activations/">activate your device</a>.</li>
</ol>

If you have an eSIM activation kit with a QR code:

<ol>
	<li>Turn on your device and connect to Wi-Fi.</li>
	<li>Open Settings and tap Network &amp; Internet.</li>
	<li>Select the plus sign (+) next to SIMs/Mobile network.</li>
	<li>Tap Download a SIM instead.</li>
	<li>Follow the prompts to scan the QR code on your eSIM activation card from AT&amp;T.</li>
</ol>

Make sure you have an eSIM activation card with a QR code from AT&amp;T. Then, follow these steps on your phone: 
&nbsp;

<ol>
	<li>Connect to Wi-Fi.</li>
	<li>Open Settings and look for Network, Connections, Mobile, or similar.</li>
	<li>Find the option to download a SIM or eSIM.</li>
	<li>Follow the prompts to scan the QR code on your eSIM activation card from AT&amp;T.</li>
</ol>

If your phone still doesn&#39;t have wireless service, you may still need to <a href="/prepaid/activate">activate your device</a>.

You can activate your Android tablet through our <a href="/prepaid/activate/">activation portal</a>.

To transfer your eSIM to a new iPhone during <a href="https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210216" target="_blank">Quick Start setup</a>, make sure you have your existing iPhone and new iPhone next to each other and connected to Wi-Fi.

<ol>
	<li>Wait for Transfer Cellular Plan to display on your old iPhone, then select the phone number (cellular plan/eSIM) you want to use on your new iPhone.</li>
	<li>Select Continue.</li>
	<li>Follow the prompts on your new iPhone to complete setup.</li>
	<li>Make a call on your new iPhone to confirm the service is working.</li>
</ol>
 
Don&rsquo;t forget to remove the cellular plan from your old phone before repurposing it. When you reset to factory settings, you should be asked if you wish to delete your eSIM. Deleting an eSIM won&rsquo;t cancel your wireless plan. You&rsquo;ll need to contact your wireless carrier to make changes to your plan.

Make sure you have your existing iPhone and new iPhone next to each other and connected to Wi-Fi. From your new phone:

<ol>
	<li>Go to Settings.</li>
	<li>Tap Cellular, then Add Cellular Plan. You&rsquo;ll see a list of phone numbers (cellular plans/eSIMs) associated to your Apple ID.</li>
	<li>Select the phone number (cellular plan/eSIM) you want to use with your new iPhone.</li>
	<li>Tap Add Cellular Plan.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Select Transfer when you see a message on your old iPhone asking if you want to transfer your number to the new iPhone.</li>
	<li>Tap the Finish Setting Up Your Cellular Plan notification on your new iPhone. You&rsquo;ll see an Activating message. When it goes away, your new iPhone should be ready to use.&nbsp;</li>
