About the 24-hour timeline
Your 24-hour period starts when you first make or receive a call, send a text, or use data, including background data. To avoid unintended data use, turn off cellular data roaming in your phone settings. Incoming text messages don’t trigger a daily fee.
Once a phone on Elite 2.0 connects to a compatible cruise ship network, we’ll try to add Cruise Day Pass (CDP) for you and send you a confirmation message. (To use a tablet on a cruise ship, explore AT&T International Day Pass.)
Cruise Day Pass (CDP) covers your phone usage on over 400 ships while at Sea. Your Elite 2.0 plan covers usage on land and in port in 210+ destinations.
You can use your CDP while in international waters, at least 6 nautical miles from land.
Good to know: CDP remains on your line until you remove it. There’s no charge to have it on your line. You’ll only be charged a daily fee when you use it on a qualifying ship.
Keep in mind, CDP daily fees are separate from your monthly plan fee.
