Explore AT&T Cruise Day Pass

Find out how you can use your phone with AT&T Elite 2.0 on a cruise.

Discover AT&T Cruise Day Pass

Add AT&T CruiseSM Day Pass (CDP)1 to use your phone with AT&T Elite 2.0SM on over 400 cruise ships. You only get charged a daily fee when you use CDP. The daily fee is $15 for each 24-hour period that you talk, text, or use data, including background data.

With CDP for Elite 2.0, you get unlimited texts plus:

  • Calls: While at sea, all calls received and all calls made to the U.S. and Elite 2.0 destinations are included.
  • Data: On select ships, after you reach 500MB of data usage at sea within a 24-hour period, your data speed may be slowed to 512Kbps. The highest available data speed will be restored at the beginning of the next 24-hour period.

About the 24-hour timeline

Your 24-hour period starts when you first make or receive a call, send a text, or use data, including background data. To avoid unintended data use, turn off cellular data roaming in your phone settings. Incoming text messages don’t trigger a daily fee.

Get coverage at sea

Once a phone on Elite 2.0 connects to a compatible cruise ship network, we’ll try to add Cruise Day Pass (CDP) for you and send you a confirmation message. (To use a tablet on a cruise ship, explore AT&T International Day Pass.)

  • Each phone line on Elite 2.0 that uses CDP for cellular usage at sea will be charged $15 per day when you talk, send texts, or use data on a qualifying ship.
  • If you choose to opt out of CDP:
    • Usage will default to our pay-per-use international rates for cellular usage while at sea instead.
    • You can place your phone in airplane mode or turn data roaming off to avoid pay-per-use charges.

Use your Cruise Day Pass

Cruise Day Pass (CDP) covers your phone usage on over 400 ships while at Sea. Your Elite 2.0 plan covers usage on land and in port in 210+ destinations.

You can use your CDP while in international waters, at least 6 nautical miles from land.

  • Your phone will connect to the maritime cellular network which displays on your phone where you would normally see AT&T.
  • Only usage on the maritime cellular networks is included in the CDP.

Good to know: CDP remains on your line until you remove it. There’s no charge to have it on your line. You’ll only be charged a daily fee when you use it on a qualifying ship.

Keep in mind, CDP daily fees are separate from your monthly plan fee.
