Get help creating your Master Password and managing your password vault using the AT&T ActiveArmor® Password Manager. You’ll be able to easily create and store strong passwords.
Set up your Master Password
You have to set up a Master Password to use Password Manager, Identity Monitoring, and Social Media Identity Protection. The Master Password protects your personal info and passwords stored in your vault. We recommend linking your Master Password to your phone’s biometric unlock for convenience.
- Open the ActiveArmor app and select ID & Passwords.
- Select Set up now on the Master Password screen.
- Review the Master Password and Recovery Key details, then select Continue.
- Create and enter a Master Password.
- Confirm the Master Password, then select Continue. We’ll display a Recovery Key. You’ll need this key if you ever forget your Master password.
- Choose how you’d like to store your Recovery Key.
- Download and print
- Save manually
- Follow the prompts to complete the process.
Important: For security reasons, we don’t store your Master Password on our servers because it unlocks all saved data in the Password Manager.
Store a new password
Add new passwords for your apps and services:
- Open the ActiveArmor app and select ID & Passwords.
- Tap the Passwords tab.
- Select + Add Password.
- Enter an Account name.
- Enter the Web address, Username and Password for the app or service.
- Add any extra info in Notes.
- Tap Save.
Good to know: Since we don’t store your Master Password on our servers, we don’t have access to your account. All saved passwords are encrypted, and we can only see a random mix of numbers and letters.
Unlock the Passwords tab
You should keep the Password tab locked when you’re not using it.
- Open the ActiveArmor app and select ID & Passwords.
- Select the Passwords tab.
- Enter your Master Password and select Unlock or use biometric authentication.
