Block calls from specific phone numbers

Getting unwanted calls on your AT&T digital phone? Learn how to block calls from specific numbers and callers without caller ID.


Specific numbers

You can block up to 100 numbers from ringing your phone.

  1. Go to the AT&T phone portal. Sign in with your member ID.
  2. Select Features, then Call Filtering.
  3. Select Call Blocking and slide the toggle to On. Turning off call blocking won’t delete your list of blocked numbers. You can start blocking calls from your list again at any time.
  4. Choose Manage Call Blocking to block specific phone numbers.
  5. Enter a 10-digit number and select Add, then Save. To remove a number, select X next to the number and then Save.

Tip: You can also block phone numbers from your phone’s handset. Call *61 to add the number of the last call received to your call block list.

Anonymous callers

Phone handset

You can block anonymous calls directly from your phone handset. Press *77 to block callers who withhold their phone numbers. Anonymous callers will get a message that you don’t accept calls without caller ID info.

Change your mind? Press *87 to allow anonymous calls.

Online portal

To block anonymous calls from the phone portal:

  1. Go to the AT&T phone portal. Sign in with your member ID.
  2. Select Features, then Call Filtering.
  3. Select Block Anonymous Calls and slide the toggle to On.
